Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 September 2026. Short version: the calculators send nothing anywhere. Google's advertising script is loaded on these pages, and the massing tool on the app subdomain talks to a map provider and a geocoder. Each is described below.

What the calculators do with your input: nothing. Every calculator on this site is client-side JavaScript. The dimensions, prices and figures you type are processed in your own browser and are never sent to a server, never logged and never stored. Closing the tab discards them. There is no account system, no contact form and no database on this site.

Hosting and analytics. This site is a set of static files served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request metadata on the operator's behalf to deliver pages and to defend against abuse. That is the IP address, the user agent, the requested URL and a timestamp, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Two scripts load, and neither is ours. There is no Google Analytics here, no tag manager and no tracking pixel, but saying “no analytics” would be wrong. Cloudflare adds its own Web Analytics script to the pages it serves. It is injected by the network that serves this site rather than written into these pages, so it is not in the files the operator publishes. It reports page counts and load times to the operator in aggregate; Cloudflare states it sets no cookies and does not track visitors between sites. The second script is Google's advertising script, described next. The operator still cannot see who any individual visitor is.

Advertising. These pages load Google AdSense (adsbygoogle.js, publisher ca-pub-6897817643107803). The site has been submitted for AdSense review; approval is pending. No advert slots are placed while the review is pending; once it is approved, each calculator page will carry two: one directly below the calculator, one below the related links. There will be none on this page, none on the About page and none on the index, and none inside a calculator itself, because an advert wedged between an input and its answer would make the tool worse to use, which is the only thing this site has going for it. The script is present on every content page, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads and Google receives your IP address, user agent and the page you are on. Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure advertising, as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Personalised advertising can be turned off at Google Ads Settings, and further options are at aboutads.info. Readers in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent choice before any personalised advertising cookie is set, and that choice can be changed at any time from the same prompt.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. A consent message appears on your first visit, served through Google's certified consent management platform. It offers three choices: consent, do not consent, or manage your options in detail. Your answer is stored so it is not asked again on every page. Declining does not restrict any calculator: everything on this site works the same either way. Visitors elsewhere do not see the message.

Cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own. It has no login, no session and no tracker, and a response from this site's own server carries no Set-Cookie header. Google's advertising script, and the consent message described above, may store cookies or similar identifiers from Google's own domains. Those are the only ones, and your browser's site settings can block them.

The massing tool at app.formgiving.ai. That subdomain hosts a different kind of page: a 3D massing tool built on a map. The drawing and every figure are computed in your browser, but drawing on a map means fetching map data, so it makes requests to three third parties. Satellite imagery comes from Esri, building outlines from OpenFreeMap, and an address you type into its search box is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim to be turned into coordinates. Those providers see your IP address and what you asked for, under their own privacy policies. The site outline you draw is never sent anywhere. The tool carries no advertising. Besides the Cloudflare beacon described above, the tool keeps two things of its own, both on the same host and neither tied to you. First, a usage count: once per page load it records which of four steps you reached (opened, drew a site, received a proposal, exported) and the interface language, as a number per day. It also groups those counts by a fixed label identifying one of six DATUM calculator links, the Product Hunt launch link, other arrivals, or older requests without a label. It does not store the full referral URL or calculator inputs, and these counts are not unique visitor counts. Second, a rating store: on its rating page you can mark a generated proposal up or down, and that rating is saved (the proposal's seed and settings, your verdict and reasons, and the numeric readings the generator took of the shape) so the generator can be tuned. Neither carries an account, cookie, IP address, fingerprint or your outline. The calculators on this site make none of those requests.

Third-party links. Pages here link to manufacturer data sheets, code references and government sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Children. This site is aimed at construction and design professionals and is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from them.

Your rights. Because this site collects nothing directly, there is generally nothing here to access, correct or delete, because there is no record of you to hold. The request metadata described above is processed by Cloudflare as the hosting provider; requests about it can be directed to the operator at the address below, or to Cloudflare directly.

Reaching the operator. If a calculator on this site gives a wrong answer, or a cited constant no longer matches its source, please say so. Corrections are the whole point of the site. Write to corrections@formgiving.ai. That address is used only to answer corrections; messages are not added to any list, and nothing is collected from you by visiting.

Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes, in particular the introduction of advertising, will be made here before the change takes effect.
